Help DISA valve noisy

Noticed a slight whirring noise coming from my engine. Located the whirring to the disa valve. At idle, when I pull the body of the valve away from the inlet manifold the noise goes away! The valve is not that old, barely 18 months. Could it be the electronic part is just noisy?

Usual noise if the Disa is faulty is what is described as a 'clacking' noise' not a whirring noise. Why it should be producing a whirring noise is a mystery to me other than the actual flap and its connecting rod can't think of anything else that would be a cause. Since the noise ceases when you pull the Disa out could it be the flap when fully home is fluttering?

When you pull the valve away you are breaking the seal, Is it possibly the seal not quite being tight and it's air being drawn in you can hear?

Managed to remove it. It is the original! When I put the ignition on, the DISA electronics were buzzing so perhaps that is the cause. A new one has been ordered.

A simple but satisfying task.

Indeed a simple but satisfying task but it did require a bit of lubrication, which always helps! Peace and tranquility have returned to my engine bay. What a noise though, I thought there was a serious problem with her.
