Help, Constant red and amber roof lights, even with ignition off!

Hey all,

I've my Zed now for 6 years and never had any issues with the roof at all.

I came out of work today to head home, started up the engine and I noticed that both the red and amber roof warnings lights were on. I've no idea why. I had the roof down for the first time in ages (few months) last week with no issues at all.

So I turned the car off and on again. Lights still on, even with the ignition off and key out and car locked! Very strange.

I've no mods to the roof i.e. gaptech etc. My car is Nov 2003 so therefore the key doesn't operate the roof.

Anyone experienced this before?

Tried disconnecting the battery?

No, not tried that yet.

Just nipped out and had a look, both lights are still on and the car has moved for a few hours... Very strange.

I'll try disconnecting the battery tomorrow.

Been a while since I’ve had my vert, though sounds like roof might not be closed properly. Have u checked in the boot the spring guide is located properly, the roof shelf is in the down position & tried a full open & close a couple of times on a FLAT surface with the engine running?

If the battery reset doesn't work, try disconnecting and reconnecting the Roof module ECU.
(Its behind the small grille in the panel behind the passenger seat)

I disconnected the battery, gave it a few minutes, reconnected the battery and all is working again!

No idea how/why it happened it happened in the first place, very strange!

But the roof is now working perfectly again!
