I'm out driving and the expalanation logo come up in red on my dash in closed brackets , so I quickly pulled over , casting my mind back to my manual studies , I think it's the run flat tyre sensor however my tyres are standard , can someone confirm that's correct. Cheers
I'm pretty certain the pressure sensor still works regardless of run-flats or not. Check the pressures of all four corners and if they're ok just reset the light by holding the button in the instrument panel (where the roof buttons etc are)
As Rolf-Dieter, more info as it depends on model year as to how the sensor is activated. However with either method (integral tyre sensor / ABS monitor) irrespective of tyres fitted the system will alert you to a tyre with a comparative low pressure.
In the UK only one method is used and that is ABS sensor so the system works with any tyre, the system used in the states uses a sensor in each wheel so again would work with any tyre. No more info needed.
