Hi

Two things please:

1) How do I remove the wing mirrors (not glass). The plates that the mirrors go into externally look naf, so when the trim gets hydro dipped, I want these done! I just cant find a guide!

2) Parcel shelf looks like a festival or two has been had, how to I get access to clean it?

Sorry if this has been covered, I am not one with the search engine on this forum :o

:roll: :driving: :rofl: :thumbsup:

Push the mirror inwards on the outside edge then on the other side ur have a gap to release the whole mirror unit, then you can get to the screw to remove whole wing mirror itself.

Hi R3AP4R,

Just did my wing mirror black plastic plates (driver's side finish was badly crazed). In simple terms;

- disconnect battery
- remove doorcards and tweeter units (http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Djgcv-VpCW8)
- disconnect mirror wiring
- remove 3 x torx head screws that hold on the mirror (remember to hold the mirror when removing the last screw). Push wiring grommet back through its hole towards the outside of the car. Fully remove mirror
- sand down mirror plates using 400, 800 and 1200 wet and dry
- mask off mirror housing to leave just the black plate exposed
- spray with 3 coats of Holts plastic bumper and trim paint
- allow 3-4 hours to dry fully
- reassemble

You will then have lovely new looking mirror plates and a real improvement to the look of your car.

Enjoy .....
