Hi Everbody!

I have recently sold my E92 330d after some fairly large bills came in that I just couldn't justify. She was a real high miler and I decided that diesels are not for me anymore. I want a beautiful sounding petrol again!

I have come to the conclusion that the Z4 is obviously the car for me! I've got a few years left before I have to settle down and think about a family, so I need something fun and a little bit impractical! I'm looking at getting an M, probably a roadster as they seem to be a bit cheaper.

I've been reading up on relevant topics all over the forum and it looks like you've got a great group of people on here. I really do think you can judge how loved a car is, by its forum. I loved my old 20VT fiat coupe and it also had a great forum, full of info and advice.

I'm looking forward to getting my hands on a zed as soon as I can.

Cheers,

Rich

welcome... you do right witha z4, had a fiat coupe myself once back in the day, a beautiful car with arguably one of the best interiors ever on a mass produced car, kinda wish i never sold mine as it is definitely a classic in the making....hope you find the right zed soon

Welcome aboard rich. Another ex Fiat Coupe pilot here. Had my spirit Blue 20vt almost 10 years and 144k miles. Zed has some way to go to beat that, but it;s certainly the car to do it in. Good look with your search.

Pics of your Fiat please. 8)

Welcome Rich

Post up what spec you are looking for and your budget.

You won't be disappointed with a Zed

Nice to know I'm in good company! Yeah I loved my coop, such a nice 5 pot burble.

Here's a few pics of the old girl:

On the Z4M budget, I've got about £13k.
Spec wise, I'm not too fussed about the colour as long as it looks smart, same goes for the Satnav.
I would like;
Heated seats
Wind deflector
Upgraded stereo
Bluetooth phone connectivity
Parking sensors

With as few miles on the clock as poss, but that's a given I guess!

Any opinions on this one? Too cheap for the mileage, or about right?

Welcome- love the coupe, still looks fresh today! Bangle really knew his design! Alas the z you have spotted appears to have a poor history and there is a tread on here somewhere- I will try to find it.

As Paddy mentioned , its been discussed before , iffy history & questionable trim :o
Has extended leather option but with alu dash  suppose its easy remedied with paint or wrap :?
Pretty sure someone has viewed the car / maybe in the ///M market watch thread

Shame as it looks like a lovely car but would need to be seriously cheap- and a long term prospect- to take the risk.

Any thoughts on these two?

Need to book up some viewings for next weekend, should make my week go pretty quickly looking forward to it!

Like the look of the first one. few less miles, Though based on the E36 M3 the engine can take the mileage. Worth a look and a cheeky offer on a Private sale. 70k should be around about it's second Ins 1. so check if that's been done or dew next. Ins 1 is £600-£800. other bargaining chips on a private sale. front brakes, if they are looking a little warn it's £800 to replace them and obviously the tyere wear. Around £150-£200 a corner for most things worth fitting.

Any excuse for a Bangle mk1 pic. 8) and my old mk1 24v SI, now that was a rare car. Never saw another. :tumbleweed:

And my little shrine on the hearth. Sad I know but I did love that car. :D

Excellent advice, thank you. I'll get in contact and ask for more detail on the service history.

Love the sprint blue, it's amazing how those cars could get such a grip on you. My Ex-Mrs used to say I loved that car more than her...she wasn't wrong either
