Hi all!
I've had my Z4 for about a month now, and thought that I should sign up to the forum...
I was actually looking for a Z3 when I saw this one, and couldn't believe it was in my price range - so much car for the money...

I'm loving the Z4, especially the noise (sound generator mod done!) / speed / toys, but the handling is taking some getting used to... I had an NA Mk2 MR2 T-bar before this: that never really misbehaved no matter what I did (in the dry that is, never took it out in the wet - arse first into hedges is not my style!). I can't say the same for the Z4 just yet, as it seems to hate little bumps in the road and the currently damp conditions we have just now, but then I haven't had it for long and practice makes perfect...
Apart from the twitching on bumpy roads (lose the run flats?) it feels great to drive it, and reminds me a little of a Triumph Spitfire that I had some years back (it had a straight 6 too, shoe-horned in from a dead Vitesse), only this is much better! Can't wait to ditch the hard top ready for summer...
I'm looking forward to reading up about our cool cars and how best to keep them running as BMW intended...
