Hi all!

I've had my Z4 for about a month now, and thought that I should sign up to the forum...

I was actually looking for a Z3 when I saw this one, and couldn't believe it was in my price range - so much car for the money...

I'm loving the Z4, especially the noise (sound generator mod done!) / speed / toys, but the handling is taking some getting used to... I had an NA Mk2 MR2 T-bar before this: that never really misbehaved no matter what I did (in the dry that is, never took it out in the wet - arse first into hedges is not my style!). I can't say the same for the Z4 just yet, as it seems to hate little bumps in the road and the currently damp conditions we have just now, but then I haven't had it for long and practice makes perfect... :driving:

Apart from the twitching on bumpy roads (lose the run flats?) it feels great to drive it, and reminds me a little of a Triumph Spitfire that I had some years back (it had a straight 6 too, shoe-horned in from a dead Vitesse), only this is much better! Can't wait to ditch the hard top ready for summer...

I'm looking forward to reading up about our cool cars and how best to keep them running as BMW intended...

Did well to get the hard top too - nice Zed.

Took me time to get used to the Zed (after an MX5). Putting non run-flats on made a big difference and getting to know the capabilities of the Zed is part of the fun of ownership. Stick with it, change those tyres and you too will come to love it.

Took me a while to get used to it and changing the runflats helped love my Z now hard to get out of it sometimes! Welcome to the forum too :thumbsup:

Wants are one thing, needs are another... Inkey$' car is gorgeous, but it needs to go to a home that won't use it every day, won't let it sit outside & won't rack up the miles big time

Definitely ditch the run flats - it's so much better to drive without them - especially with the roads in the condition they are at the moment, a slight pothole can cause the steering wheel to be pulled over.

Looks a great car, it will be great to drive come summer
