A potential Z4 buyer, using the forum to research what I can - hoping to buy early next year. Forum is a great resource, full of useful information! :)

Not a fan of convertibles, so the coupe is what I'm looking for. Reading some threads this seems to be a hot topic of opinion, so I'll say no more :P

Am based in Cambridgeshire, about 15 miles north of Cambridge itself. First challenge is to find a coupe I can have a good look around as there is nothing near me at local dealerships. Would prefer not to waste private sellers time as I'm only looking at the moment. There are a couple of members near me (marked on http://www.zeemaps.com/map?group=445608), but I'm not sure if they have coupes so I'll try contacting them soon.

There is a coupe in the village I live in, but I don't think the owner is a member here. Will pluck up the courage to ask if I can have a look around it and hope they don't think I'm trying to steal it! :?

I'll post my one few many questions in the Z4 section!

Welcome to the forum Stovax! Awesome choice of car and especially the body style, who buys a car with material as the roof...?!

I'm sure the guy in the village with a Coup will be more than happy to show off his P&J to you, don't feel bad about it, like you said is better than wasting a sellers time. And if he/she isn't on the forum, encourage them on here!

So are you going for the M or the 3.0 si/se? What are your preferences with options, colour, budget etc? Exciting times ahead :)

Hello and welcome to the fun house!
Good luck with searching for your new car (shame you don't want a roadster but each to his own!)

Hello & welcome  good luck in your search the coupes look alot better & I have a roadster, hope you get a good one :)

Ha bloody hell Lee, you will be lynched by the Roadster mob for saying that surely?! But then again they are all closet Coupe lovers secretly... :)

I know Woody I am on thin ice! I always wanted the M coupe originally but I have never had a soft top so I thought I would give one a try...still can't make my mind up if I did the right thing! :)

Same as me then, I wanted to experience a convertible so bought this:

Was great but never felt comfortable with it and lusted over the M Coup's on here so after 10 months sold it and bought my MC as per below! Haven't looked back since, am 100% happy now and am glad Stovax is doing it the right way round! Why don't you trade yours in for that Sepang M Coup?!

Hi Stovax and welcome to all things Zed so going the coupe route :? good luck with your search always try an M convertible best of both worlds

Good luck with the search! I've just got myself a convertible ... having wanted a M Coupe since University I realised the 3.2 isn't practice for my mileage and 3.0 would have just reminded me every day that I was missing 2 exhaust tailspipes on it's tidy back end :headbang:

You can always do something with the exhaust if you want quads. Check out my wee beastie. "Only" a 3.0 but sounds awesome. Throaty but not overstated.
You can also remap at the same time if you really need more HP!

I didn't realise you did that Woody, I must admit I do keep browsing the M Coupes & I think should the right one come along I would be tempted! Thanks for sharing piccie of your old one :)

Just the standard coupe, the M isn't quite what I'm looking for.

I'm sure I want the same as most buyers, as many options for as little price :P Realistically I don't want to go much over 11k, but would stretch the budget for the right car.

Sav nav is desirable because of the extra information the screen gives. I'd consider retro fitting a sat nav (have read the thread), but not worked out the costs involved in doing that.

Would prefer phone preparation was installed, bluetooth already fitted ideally.

Xenons and parking sensors would be useful.

Not bothered about ICE as I quite like listening to engine noise

Wouldn't be interested in cars with anything but subtle mods. Big exhausts, big alloys, big stereos, remaps aren't really my thing.
