Hi all. Just want to introduce myself to the forum members. My name is David from Nr Ironbridge in Shropshire. Recently bought Z4 2.5 in Sterling grey 03 model, manual to replace Westfield which I built a few years ago! I'm nearing 50 so I don't look such a chump in a Z as I do in the orange Westfield. Had a look at the forum quite a few times and been in touch with one member already for some advice. Look forward to posting and getting to know my new toy with the help of you all.

Thankyou. Built Westfield in 2002. Great fun but oh so uncomfortable on any journey above 50 miles. Numb rhs of face etc but did it bring the devil out of you!! It just willed you to drive at the max it only weighs 580 kg!! Haven't driven the Z4 anywhere near like this yet! :P

Ages! I bought the chassis from Westfield in 1998 and just bought bits and pieces as and when I could afford to (doing a house up at the time so Westfield parts were not popular!) Finally registered in 2002...only done about 4000 miles since. Hell of a good car for point and squirt driving...a bit like a motorbike, but if there was the slightest threat of rain forget it it was too tail happy. I'm really enjoying the Z as it feels like it wraps around you like the Westie, and enjoying the BMW dealership experience...unbelievable service from my local dealer in Shrewsbury, Key ring, desk diary etc...only thing I really want is the Henri Lloyd BMW Yachtsport jersey but its £85.. Ouch! :o
Sadly Westfield will be up for sale shortly when I've mot'd her. :(

Welcome to the forum

BMWZ4MC has a british racing green Westfield... I am sure that when he fins this thread he'll do his best to talk you out of selling... Or maybe he wants an orange one - have to say it looks lovely 8)

Hello and welcome. Love the westfield but I understand what you mean about some cars bringing out the devil in you and making them not ideal for public roads. Great weekend toy tho when the weather plays ball :driving:
