Hello All,

5 blessed weeks ago I bought a 2003 2.5i SE SMG Roadster. Previous car was a 1.9 TDI Golf, so the new car represents somewhat of a change :D

One negative is the aching face muscles I get from grinning so broadly every time I drive it.

I've been browsing the forums over the last couple of weeks, thought it was high time I joined and introduced myself. There appears to be an absolute wealth of information and experience so I think I've come to the right place for advice.

I'm currently on run-flats, my headlights are almost constantly 'misty' and I have no aux input to the stereo, and from reading the forums I've seen some of the great guides for improving these (or, indeed, some moral support for coping with them!)

However, I do have one larger concern. I noticed today a gap between the passenger side window and the door seal at the top of the window, with the potential to let in water (though I've seen no evidence of leakage yet). Anyway, I'll have a good search of the site for tips..just thought I'd mention it.

All the best,

Repo

so you've been browsing the forum, you should know the flack your going to get for posting without a pic :P

:) This is the best I can do for now:

Thanks Paddy :)

And thanks all for the welcome.

As for the window, it's a gap between the inside of the window and the seal on the chassis at about the left ear of a tall-ish passenger. From the 'research' I did last night i think the door needs a minor adjustment via the catch plate IIRC, which I'll try at the w/e.

Other than that....well...just loving the new motor. And the 'sports' button. And the noise of the 6 cylinders. etc :D

Nice lookin motor 8)

I binned my run flats for a set of Contis and the difference was outstanding. Got a can of foam in the boot. A tip I found is get yourself one of the BMW top up oil pouches for the boot. It fits two cans of tyre foam in perfectly and velcros to your boot carpet. Nice!
