Hi All

My name is Anthony (Tony) and I'm new to the forum but no stranger to BMW. My last car (recently sold) was a Sparkling Graphite Metallic facelift 330ci which I loved, regret parting with but was made an offer I could not reasonably ignore

The sale however isn't all bad news as it means that I now have the perfect excuse to look for a car that I have always admired, the Z4 3.0si. I am looking for an immaculate coupe (inside and out) very low mile example (30 - 40k miles) in either grey or black. Preferably a later 2008/9 car with electric adjustable heated seats, xenons and if possible possible, professional nav. I have also posted this in the sale forum.

I have only recently started my search but if anyone is considering selling or knows of a suitable car please be kind enough to let me know

Many thanks and I look forwarc to becoming an active member on this forum.

Tony

Hi and welcome. Good luck with your search.

You do realise that you've set your heart on the wrong Zed - Roadster is the way to go! :D

If you buy a Coupe it's really difficult to get the roof off and absolutely impossible to get it back on. :D

I had a convertible many years ago - a Spitfire 1500 - and since then looked forward to the opportunity to have another convertible, hence why I got my Roadster earlier in the year. I don't think that anything beats a bit of a hoon with the wind in your hair.

Only downside is In the winter and am hoping to have got a hardtop for the Roadster by then.

I suspect that some of the more crazy Forum members will try to make a case for the Coupe, but don't listen to them!

Whatever you get I am sure your will enjoy. :driving:

Welcome.

Ignore everything Rick has said and stick with the coupe.

It clearly is the better choice. :P

LOL guys... As much as I loved the look of the vert on the e46 range, I went for a coupe as I enjoy a spririted drive and appreciate the additional torsional rigidity when pushing through the corners. I have to say that the Z4 vert looks beautiful but it's going to be another coupe for me

I love the coupe/roadster banter, I got a roadster about 15 months ago but can't help wondering if i should have got a coupe. As it's purely a weekend car it lives in the garage and everytime I get it out the roof is down so i think I've made the right choice :-)

Anyhow, welcome to the forum Rebel!

Good luck with the search Tony  I have owned a roadster for nearly 3 years. And I still don't know coupe or roadster???? On a day like today roadster.... The most part of the year a coupe??? Get the car you want and don't listen to anyone else!
