Best place to spot yachts is the harbour at Antibes... that's where all the really big ones are... well, apart from the insanely big ones, because they're so huge they can't fit in the harbour!

Lovely car - welcome. 1500 miles in two days is impressive.

BTW and slightly off topic, does anyone have experience of driving an ///M and a 35i? Is the latter an epic missile of a drive? Just interested - I test drove a 3.0 E89 which I felt a little underwhelmed in but didn't pursue further as I couldn't get my golf clubs in the boot with the roof down - which was prerequisite.

Thanks Folks

Afraid I don't own a boat of my own :(

Do enjoy using other people's though

Great fun along the Amalfi Coast to Capri in this one last year:

And off up to Loch Ness and the Caledonain Canal this summer in this one:

Not quite a Superyacht, but it will do :D

I used to have an M Roadster (Z3M) and the Z4 35i is significantly quicker than that, but not as fast as the 500bhp EVO I just sold - plenty space for golf clubs in that

You can also remap the 35is up to 370bhp/400lbft quite easily, I understand

Nope... Monaco is where you will find the REALLY expensive ones :-)
I have a done road trip from the Antibes up to the Croatian rivièra and I can tell you that Monaco and Nice are the best places to look for beautiful yachts...
Road trip of 6.500 kms with a finish through Germany with no speed limit

Actually you can remap it over 400bhp... only BMW build quality will tell you when to stop ;)

Over on the e89 forums I recently read a guy that was running 400bhp blew the turbos and the DCT.. out of warranty too.. quite whether that was down to power alone, or existing faults, who knows... I think I'll leave mine stock now I've ready some horror stories... 300bhp is enough (maybe  ).
