Hi all, Bought a lovely Z4 on Friday from way ooop North... fun drive home getting to know the car! :D

03, 86k miles, FSH and with completely unmarked wheels

Previously had a 2000 323i as a stop gap from last year when i sold my last car.. a Nissan 200sx with Skyline running gear (450hp!).
Surfice to say, its nice to be back in something quick and agile again. So far am loving the Z4, the engine, the handling and the roof down motoring!
8) Plans are to do the sound mod this weekend and look at re-aligning the front bumper as it looks like it has been pushed up by a speed bump or 2 during it's life! They are so low and stiff!! Its like being back in my Nissan again!

Id also like to add an induction kit and replace the plugs, any recommendations on the best products / makes? Also, who are the best tuners / parts supplier?

Few pics of the Z:

Welcome aboard

Standard OEM air box is pretty good on Z4s, not much gains to be had from an induction cone, and many log power losses due to lack of cold air feed. There are a couple of forum favs, but I can't for the life of me remember their names. I'm sure someone will be along to confirm soon....

Welcome to the forum

Zed looks good, as does your 200SX. Clearly well looked after :)

Any engine upgrades planned? ESS do a well documented supercharger for the M54 engine

Thanks guys, not really got any engine mods planned bar service items and possibly the induction kit if one is available that doesn't lose power!:D Id like to keep this for a year maybe then look at moving into a Z4M.

ohh, i jus thought of something i am going to get... Spacers! It is crying out for them!

Welcome to Zvile , did you not consider the Cupra R splitter on the Nissan for that extra bit of lip :D

hehe, well as you can see from the state of the bumper it barely cleared speed bumps etc. so anything underneath it wouldnt have lasted more than a few miles before being torn off! :D

welcome........ great looking Z ........
from a northerner sad its migrated south..........obviously in search of warmer weather for the summer !

hehe, well it was actually driven down from Scotland - Southport (where i bought it) to be PX'ed so it has had a pretty lengthy relocation!

That looks a really nice Zed - Welcome to the Forum.

That Skyline looks brilliant!

:driving:
Thanks mate. Unfortunatley i had to sell the SX due to life changes...splitting up with ex, moving out etc.. Was pretty sad as i had owned her for 13 years since i was 18!

Great pics. Datson looks fantastic. Zed had a nicer a#se though. :D

hmm, i'm still undecided on that one! :D The more i look at the Z the more it grows on me though.

Sound mod done this weekend along with new plugs, K&N air filter and some new badges all round. :)

Cannot believe how much better it sounds, love the induction noise, can really hear that straight 6 singing now!

Also found a split hose. Looks like a vacuum pipe of some sort.. Anybody have a part number / name for it? I have taped it up for the time being.

Nice Zed :) and an awesome S13! You must have been sad to see it go, as was I when I sold my SX

I take it you're a fella that likes a bit of sideways action then?

Thanks! Indeed, it was a very sad day.. almost 1 year ago now. Still miss that car so much! Which SX did you have? Don't see that many on the roads anymore, think the majority are getting written off by 'have a go drifters'! :x

Actually, my sx was setup for track work so wasn't a drift car.. however it did spend a fair amount of time going sideways, most of the time un-intentionally! ;)

I also had an S13 with the original CA18DET in it. I completely agree, you don't see many at all. I bought mine over 7 years ago completely standard for about £1400. I only put a couple of bolt-ons on it and sold it last September for nearly double that! Just shows how rare they have gotten due to the 'wannabe drifters' as you say, wrapping them around lamp posts! Great cars though...the S14s didn't compare in my opinion.
