Hi everyone
Bought a Z4 today after searching around for a decent one, pick it up on Friday so will post up some pics.
Its a 56 plate 2.0i SE in Silver, with extras being Leather heated seats, 6 disk CD changer, auto dim mirror, rainsensors , auto lights, remote controls on the steering wheel, reverse sensors, and larger star alloys. One owner from new, the owner has kept every single receipt be it for tyres or for servicing, and all the stamps in the book match up with the BMW servicing receipts (all BMW Servicing). Even have the receipt when the car was bought brand new (costing 28k).
Generally it seems to be in excellent condition, taken it for a good drive, checked all the electrics, BMW have replaced the rear coils (I believe this was a fault on this model???), brake fluids etc changed, basically the woman owner has traded it in for a Boxster and didnt seem short of cash. All the tires are Bridgestone Run Flats, with two brand new ones on the rear. Was last serviced at 32k and its now at 38k.
The only niggle I can find with it is that the centre console around the gear stick has marks on it, from the womans jewellry rubbing against it so I need to replace the silver on it, and a small part of the rubber in the boot has broken, looks like just from age, around the corner. Raised and lowered the roof a few times, no strange noises I could hear, checked the oil and filler caps, coolant caps etc and used the checklist on this site and found it really useful.
Dealer is one which only sells prestiege cars and seems to have a good write up. Is putting a full tank of fuel in it, new MOT etc. Drives really well, seems to have been really well looked after as no marks on the paintwork or dents/scratches. Cant wait to pick it up on Friday. Have paid £11,900 for it which I think is a fair price.
What do you think (before I pick it up), fair price? Anything else I should have checked or I should be weary of with these cars. The car comes with the dealer 3 month warranty, I guess the main worry with these cars is the roof, should I extend the warranty for longer or are these cars generally very reliable???
Thanks
Gary
