Hello, I'm a newby on the forum so looking to learn and pick up some useful tips while meeting you all.

Pleased with the 2.5, lovely engine. The (nice looking) alloys are fairly corroded so have just picked up another set to use which don't have run flats on so looking forward to a straight and smoother drive when they're fitted.
The nice Zedder who I got the wheels from recommended the forum too. ๐Ÿ‘

Hello Rico. You have the facelift Z4 with the N52 engine. Check the water pump has been replaced and also invest in a BMW code reader. Is she the 2.5i or the 2.5SI

Welcome aboard. Looks a nice motor.
Do you intend to work on it yourself? If you give a rough location you may find members close by who would be willing to help out if needed.

Hello and welcome to the forum, great introduction and a photo too, Iโ€™m sure you will fit right in here, lovely looking e85

Hi Raymond, thanks for the message. She's the 2.5i
Not done anything apart from clean it. It's a Sunday drive with a good history. Got a few little bits on the interior to sort. Looking forward to some warmer weather for it!
Hi EnuffZ, we're South West London and already met 2 Forum members, one at a garden centre and one when buying wheels (30 miles apart but they both knew each other, so small world) ๐Ÿ˜„
Hi Chippie and thanks for the welcome thumbs up!
Cheers all! ๐Ÿ‘

Hello rico and welcome to the forum. Greetings from the Emerald Isle.
Anything youโ€™d ever need to know about your z4 and its workings, these guys will sort you out.
Iโ€™m a newbie also and Iโ€™m amazed at the level of knowledge and assistance that comes with this forum.
Nice car too. Mines a 2004 2.5 that needs a bit of tlc.
Youโ€™re certainly in the right place ๐Ÿ‘

Hi Joe, thanks for that. Really good to know I can hopefully find help and advice here.
I've noticed there isn't a thumbs up button for messages or am I missing something please?
Cheers

Welcome to the club, this looks exactly like mine, with the same alloys, 201s, quite a rare option and a nice wheel.
My 2.5 is in montego blue.
Any more pics?

Just to the right of this test box as you type, you can select this................

Hi and welcome to the forum.

There's a wealth of knowledge about Z4s on here, and we can all help you spend your money on modifications!

On a more serious note it's worth getting your roof motor moved into the boot if it hasn't been done, as they tend to get drowned where BMW put them.

That's the only photo I have at the moment.
I appreciate the heads up on the roof motor. I have checked the drainage holes are doing their job so all is good at the moment. If we hang on to the Z4 then the motor re-homing to the boot will be on the list of jobs for sure!

Hi Rico, welcome to Z4 ownership. Mine is same facelift model as yours and in same colour l, but yours has nicer wheels! Mine has the Star 16in alloys. I'm a beginner too with my Z4, but done a lot of DIY jobs. My roof motor well was dry, but the plastic tub the motor sits had filled with water at some point and retained it. Do worth doing even if the well is dry. Enjoy the car and the tinkering!

If you do decide to get the roof motor relocated the nearest person to you will be Ross.

After 15 years at Sytner he set up RBM Hampshire in Hook, Hants in 2019 and has been looking after both my BMWs ever since as he can do anything else you might want done as well. Plus he runs a couple of loan cars.

Just to be clear I've no affiliation or connection other than as a satisfied customer.

Excellent! Cheers for that!
Yes the wheels are nice but very corroded on the inner side and don't seal well on 2 tyres. Not sure if they'd be salvagable if refurbished?
Will keep RBM noted. Thanks loads for that ๐Ÿ‘
