I picked up this fellow on Saturday from a wholesaler in Seattle. They didn't know much about the car but, gave me all the manuals to read up on.

I have been working on understanding all the features and how they work. Still stumped on the Bluetooth but, I am sure I will figure it out.

JasonLHall, welcome to the forum.... :driving:

Do you have the bluetooth code?
If not you will need to have a BMW dealer get it for you.

edit - It's a 4 digit number code.

Nice looking car... and it already has CSL's too. I'm envious! You'll find the Forum to be a great source of Z4 wisdom and advice. And the people are so nice and polite to one another! :)

I have the code, the issue is the car is not transmitting a signal and I am trying to read up on why.

Oh, and thanks for the warm welcomes. I am loving this car in a way that borders inappropriate :driving:

It is a nively international Forum and we like our cousins on the other side of the pond too!

Welcome great looking car. Really like those gunmetal finished CSL's.

Are they replica CSL wheels? They look like 18s, and the dish on the back doesn't seem very deep.

hello, lovely car...

do you have the bluetooth manual? Your car must be in pairing mode for you phone to see it.

I have the manual in PDF format if you need it?

I was told by another person they were replica based off the badge color. The tires are 18s but, have not pulled the rims off to look for any sizes. The offset on the back is there, it is just a bad angle on the picture.

Thanks, I will take a look but, I might run over to the dealership and see if they can see any issues with the Bluetooth system itself. I am not even seeing any type of signal from the car with two different types of phones. And according to my book the car should be transmitting a signal at all times.

I had the same problem with my Berry and the car not seeing each other - then followed this sequence exactly and it now works perfectly.

Lovely car - welcome to the forum !

I will give it another try before heading over to the dealer

Dealer thinks the TCU is not working. They are going to reset it and see if that fixes the problem.

I have a stupid question, what is a TCU

are they repairing it for you - FOC

TCU (Telematics Control Unit) is the brain behind the telephone system in the car which includes the SOS button or roadside assistance button.

I talked to the service manager to see if I we could work out something on cost because the warranty expired 9 days ago and I purchased the car 5 days ago. He tallked to BMW of America and he told me they said no. I am going to call BMW of America today and validate that they wont help out. Otherwise I have to pay $700+ or just use a telephone headset.

UPDATE - Spoke with BMW of America and they are looking into this. They will get back to me in 3 to 5 days.
