2.0 SE I Z4 2006 20k. A nice jump from a Civic 1.6 ;) Only learn't to drive 3 years ago at the grand age of 34 so this is quite a thrill so far! Never thought I'd end up with a BMW. I was looking at RX8's, Type R's and toyed with an S2000. That got me the convertible bug and when I saw this while out for petrol....

Only niggle I have is sometimes it's a tough change from 1st to 2nd. Having the garage look later but after reading this forum I'm assuming the cdv is at fault?

Welcome along :)

Good pics, I'm a fan of those wheels

I find the gearbox quite notchy going from 1st to 2nd but as long as you don't force it you can still change gear pretty quickly. I've learned to drive around my CDV - I only occasionally have jerky gear changes but my wife rarely drives my car and, well, you can guess...

welcome, nice car... There are great threads for removing the cdv. Do a search, i cnt paste the link as this is from my mobile.

welcome and I to like the turbines, just wish they were 18".

I would suggest the CDV is at fault and would remove asap as it will really improve the drive of the car and ensure your clutch lasts longer.
