Hello all,

I've been browsing the website for a while in search of the perfect Z4, which I thought I had finally found. Sadly, it was sold today! It seemed too cheap to be true so maybe it's a blessing in disguise.

Still, I'm pretty much sold on the idea of getting a Z4 so I'll be sticking around the forum. I just don't like the idea of the much heavier 350z and the S2000 seems a little overpriced at the moment. The Z4 just seems like the perfect balance between a bit of luxury, roof-down cruising and performance!

I'll post in the relevant section but anyone looking to sell a 2003-onwards Z4 in black or grey, manual, with the 3.0l engine can get in touch!

there's a nice one floating around the Worthing area :D not sure where it ended up...

welcome along and good luck with your search

Welcome to the forum

I also considered an S2000 when buying my zed. Having driven both, the zed is the better 'all round' car, with plenty of torque for in-gear motoring :)

Good luck with your search

Hello an welcome,

Z4 defo best choice I have had a 350z lovely car but pretty heavy on fuel Z4 is the best all round good luck with your search

Thanks everyone.

The fuel issue was one of the main reasons why I decided against the 350z, and the S2000 doesn't look as unusual as the Z4. Here's hoping a good one comes around quickly as I've yet to test drive it. I don't think the harsh ride will bother me, but I want to see what its like in the pace department!

Quick ... especially the Si (more bhp) version I have had 2 x 3.0 roadsters a 53 and a 54 in the past and my current 07 Z4C 3.0 si is very nice plenty of torque.. feels a lot quick than my 350 did and on par with a Boxster S I had so you will not be disappointed.

If you budget allows I would personally go for a Si version now after my personal experiences just on the performance side, slight different engine note etc

Either way you will not be disappointed with any well looked after Zed. Prefect levels of refined luxury and performance in a sports car, all in all a winner!!! :D

Welcome to the forum and good luck! *hint* There are some nice Alpina Roadster S cars to be found on the Pistonheads classifieds. 3.4ltr, 300bhp, unrestricted top speed and as a bonus score, considered a low volume manufacturer so only £215 pa road tax! Also only about 170 RHD cars made, so a collectible classic in the making.

I've been keeping an eye on the Alpina part of Pistonheads, just in case one sneaks into my budget or a bit above. Really do like them a lot.
