How do all

Well after a couple of months of reading, umming and arring between Z4, Boxster, S2000, VX220 and occasionally the Z3MC, I've settled on the decision to go for the Z4.

It's going to be my first performance car, my last car being a 1.6 Almera and the sportiest being a Metro GTI, and after being pleasantly surprised in the lack of cost difference for the 3l over even a 2l I'm on the hunt now for a 2006 or newer 3.0Si Sport.

So fingers crossed I should be back soon with a 'new car with pics' thread.

Ta x

Hi Philip :D

I'm waiting for my new baby too! I'm not entirely new to the zed fold, I had a Z3 a few years ago and have yearned since I sold it!

floppy top or coupe?

Going be a floppy top.

In spite of my paranoid mates saying it will get a Stanley knife stuck through it I fancy getting my mid life crisis over and done with early before I have a gut and can't drive anything the roof goes down on.

Good choice sir

Welcome to the forum. If you fancy extra protection from the Stanley knife, get a hardtop :)

Perfect car.

Welcome philip.

About the roof - relax.

They're not made like the old days of just a tent stretched over. Roof slashing doesnt really happen much now. Its insulated and has sections of plastic and all sorts so its actually less ahssle to just smash the window if you want to break in.

Any questions then let us all know :)
