Hi!

I just joined here tonight, and ironically enough it was to diagnose an exhaust rattle, so that's great! Anyways, I'd like to introduce myself and (more importantly) my Z - it turns heads in Newport and even more when they see a skinny little kid with glasses driving it!

I'm glad to have found this place though, because this past summer was my first with this car and obviously I'm interested in hearing about all of your experiences with yours these past few years. My Z was an impulse buy in April, and I have loved every time I drove it. Regardless I feel more than blessed to be able to drive this as a summer car, the girls love it (and grandma most importantly), and people at car shows can't believe it's 16 years old. Makes me feel old, judging that I was in preschool when this car came over!!

Enough about me, when did you all get your first Zs? I'd love to see some more Maldives Blue gang, or even some in Rhode Island!

Welcome to the board. :) Folks from all over our small world on here, mainly uk.

I bought my Zed as an early 50th birthday present, after my 40th birthday present blew up once too often. (It was a Fiat ,but I loved it)

Great colour and pipes. 8)

Appreciate it brother!

Is that a Silver Gray Zed you got? I'm still learning my paint codes :|

I really like the M bumper - way more than the 3.0i's. It's way more aggressive with the extra vents, and I don't use fogs anyway. My biggest concern is speed bumps, is they a big problem in England too?

Yup the Grey ///Ms are usualy silver grey. Best coulor for enjoying the sky reflecting off those Bangel surfaces
The bit you really want is the S54 though. :D :driving:

Good morning and welcome.
So, was it a German import then or do you just like having a stack of licence plates :)

Hahaha I keep forgetting this is a mainly European forum. Yeah a friend of mine managed to get me a few plates from somewhere. Not totally sure. It's not an unusual thing to see here in the States, and I guess I see it as styling over anything - makes my Zed homesick :)

I'd totally get an S54 if I could, but something suggests this won't be my only Zed (or BMW) so I guess I'll enjoy the M54 for now. I did the sound generator mod and combined with this exhaust it definitely surprises any passengers hahah

Thanks! The RI mindset is that anything >20 minutes or over 10 miles is a road trip :tumbleweed: I've passed through Virginia a few times on a bus, but it's a pretty place from what I remember

Hi and welcome
Nice looking zed you have there and you have 40 years on me getting mine
Why did I wait so long

Hi and welcome to the forum.

And yes, speed bumps are a problem in the UK as well!
