Hello from Oxfordshire

Hi all,

I've been lurking for a few weeks on the forum so I thought I had best introduce myself and say hi. We live near Kidlington, Oxfordshire.

I used to have a little Fiat X1/9 in my youth and loved the car, but I sold it years ago. The good lady and I decided we wanted some thing nice to run around in at the weekends, and after lots of looking decided the Z4 was the best option for us - it was was a car she liked the look of and had the performance I wanted!

We have test driven a few over the last few weeks, but in the end plumped for a nice Z4 2.5i SE MY 2006 face lift car in Gray on 89K miles. Yes, that is another Z4 behind mine in the car park, but that was just luck!

We have had her just on a week and she is a great drive. She is is lovely condition, and the previous owner looked after her well - he works for a well known car manufacture in their development department - and it looks like I have all the receipts for the servicing right back to the original owner. The car can with a set of winter tyres and wheels, which was a nice bonus.

There are of course a few little things to put right, but they are only (hopefully) little, but I'm sure I'll be on here asking for help very soon. The list includes misted Front fog lamps, one small stone chip with a dot of rust (that's the urgent one to sort), one corner of the front bumper is slightly loose, and the none of the auto dim mirrors work.

Cheers all

Sheldon

No, sorry, not us.

We were out on Sunday, but out over Otmoor way, through Islip and out to Murcott, across country to Aynho and back home via Deddington.

It was a nice run out with the top down. :driving:

Nice looking facelift Zed - welcome to the forum.
Misted fog lights are a 'feature' on the facelift Zed, I just live with mine now but some owners have drilled small holes in the underside of the lenses to allow the condensation to clear.
