Hello all, potential new Z4 owner here, looking for a fun second car, and seem to have narrowed it down to Z4 (E85), Boxster S, or Nissan 350Z.

Pretty much ruled out the Boxster due to potential expensive engine problems, and I just can't bring myself to buy a Nissan, so pretty certain it be a Z4!
 
Good progress so far! Good luck in finding one.

I ended up with a shortlist of the Boxster, SLK and Z4. First I couldn't work out which was the front; second just felt too girly, so here I am.
 
Welcome to the forum, many others narrowed their choice down the same as you have (mind you, this is a Z4 forum so I guess thats not surprising :oops: )
 
Welcome to the forum. Love the shape of the 350Z coupe. 8) Just love love the Zed4 roadster more. :driving:
 
I looked the 350 and then the 370 but couldn't get away from the Zed. Just feels better sitting in it on the move or even stationary!

I was looking for a 350z, viewed 5 or 6 but they all looked really rough then saw the Zed parked next to one at local dealer and that was me hooked! This forum makes owning a Zed even better!

Never even thought of the SLK.. let me think about it.. nope not for me! :D

350Z has a very nice exhaust noise, but I don't like the looks - from certain angles the coupe looks fat and bloated, and the roadster looks even worse in my opinion. Z4 roadster looks much better, and I'm hoping the 3.0 makes a good noise!

Daily driver / "practical" ( :rofl: ) car is a 2.0 Alfa 916 GTV by the way!

Budget is around £7k, and I'm afraid i am looking for a car with fewer miles and a bit newer than yours, if possible. Love that merlot red colour though! Good luck with your sale.

Do roadster prices stay about the same all year round, or are they likely to drop in the next month or so as the summer and sun fade away?
 
Hello I am not far from you in Bedfordshire. How is the search going? I have owned a Boxster S and Nissan 350Z, and I personally think the Z4 is the best car.
 
If you can stretch to £ 7750 the Montego blue 2006 si looks great that's for sale on the forum :driving:

Hello, for various reasons the search has been put on hold for a couple of weeks :( , on the plus side, I have got myself a garage in readiness for when I do buy a Z4 :) , so it won;t have to live outside on the street!. Have read elsewhere that the Porsche is the better handling car, but the price of parts if they go wrong scares me, and I think the Z4 looks better!

I had spotted that one - if its still around in a couple of weeks when my search resumes, it'll be one of the first I look at!

Bought the car on Sunday, loving the way it goes and the noise it makes! Hopefully the weather will be better at the weekend and I can get some photos of my own to post.

That is a lovely looking Z4, and low miles!

As I mentioned on that thread, Montego Blue with Pearl Grey is the only way to go. :lol:
