Hello from new Zed 3.0 owner in Reading

Hello fellow enthusiasts 8)

Just a quick hi and early generalised thank you – I've been lurking for a few weeks now and being able to research plenty here before buying really helped me to decide and purchase my shiny Silver 2004 3.0 with black heated M-sport seats last Friday :thumbsup: So thank you all.

It's sitting on the drive beading quietly in the rain at the moment after having had a nightmare M25 journey 6 days ago from Basildon in Essex round to Reading, followed by a country drive to Bristol on the Saturday, and a quick wash and wax on the Sunday.

This is at the previous owner's place - haven't had the chance to snap it at home / elsewhere yet.

Looking forward to swapping out the bulbs for some Philips Extremes to begin with, LED rear light bulb swapout, treating the roof, getting a full bmw car cover, getting the 107s refurbed and spacered, sorting the minor scratches, and getting some professional paint-correction / detail done some time down the line...

...and of course, reading lots of posts and contributing the occasional one myself.

Great looking car, but then I am biased. Would recommend getting a hard top quickly while it is still the summer. A fellow forum member w selling a silver hard top on here last week. Enjoy your zed.

Welcome! I looked at a few silver ones before I got a black Z4. Still think silver is one of the best colours for a Z4, looks very clean!

My wife and I were originally looking for a sterling grey, but the silver with the 107s, and the black heated mem M-seats just seemed so right in the flesh... Just need to tidy him up a little over the coming months.

Yep, we'd love to come along to a meet Machine Monkey and will keep an eye out for you and -Tom-. So many great looking cars you guys/gals have and it'll be great to put faces to them eventually!
