Hi all!

Just a quick introduction :)

I have over that last 10 years had use of a couple of Z4's, previously a silver soft top, but more recently an Automatic in black.

I actually run a pub in the heart of the Peak District (The Eyre Arms at Calver) and we have a decent sized car park which I think could be a good spot for a Z4 meet. We are on the edge of the Hope Valley so only a short drive from Hathersage, Hope and Castleton. I wondered if anyone could recommend the usual process for arranging such an event, or who on this forum I might speak to?

Cheers

Andrew

I think that I have been to your pub, albeit more than 30 years ago when I lived in Sheffield and took runs out to the countryside in my old Spitfire.

To allow me to refresh my memory, maybe you could post a picture of your pub? Taken from the car park with your Zed in the foreground is what I have in mind! :)

Enjoy the Zed and I hope that you can get a meet together - I think that there's a lot of Forum members within striking distance of where you are.

Welcome and as above let's see a photo of your Zed and the pub.

In terms of arranging an event then just open up a dedicated thread, make some suggestions about a format, be it meet and drive, static meeting, etc. a suggested date and develop it from there.
You'll get plenty of comment and pretty soon a list of attendees.

The only thing I'd do is avoid clashing with other event sin the area.

Welcome to the forum, regarding setting up a meet use the 'Meets/Events/Road Trips' section. Sounds like a great idea filling your pub car park with Zeds

 sounds good.
I'll be passing Monday morning actually on way to Manchester airport. Bit early for a meet though, 5.30 am

Welcome Bruce , lots of members around your way so a meet, drive, brew ,breaky at your place should be easy to arrange
Next arranged get together in that area is at The Turnpike just off the M62 , its a Sunday morn 10am on the 25th Oct , come over in the Z , think there's likely to be 15/20 Zs there ?
No reason why a future meet can't be at your place though ?

Hi Andrew,

Being Calver born and bred the Eyre Arms was my local for donkeys years, too many rowdy nights in there during my teens and twenties, good memories! The heyday during my drinking days were when Phil and Joyce Wade had it, maybe you've heard their name. I hope the recent refurb brings just reward, I'll pop in and say hello one night, I'm just down the road in Baslow.

Regards, John.

Welcome enjoy your car :driving:

I've never been to your pub, but you have a namesake not too far away which I used to take my girlfriends to in the mid to late 70's. ( then find a nice quiet place to park  )
One night we were asked to leave because we were sat in a locals seat never been back since, I hope
Your place is more friendly.
A good spot for a meet
