So, I'm Jon and I'm seriously considering buying an e85 / e86! Wow feels great to get that off my chest. :-)

So a little background. I'm Jon, as previously stated, and in a, seriously short, couple of months I finish being a soldier and have to start working for a living. It's been over 22 years since I joined and I'm finding it's both exciting and scary in equal measure! However the most important thing for here is that this means that for the first time in almost forever my daily commute is not a walk or cycle from my front door! This means that I need a new car. Hence my appearance on the site.

More to be posted in the e85 / e86 forum.

Jon

Welcome along Jon and congratulations on the impending exit from a long career!

I'm glad you didn't include "illustrious"! :D

As I said I'm looking forward to it and scared witless in equal measure!

Hi Jon, I did the same in 2002, it seems like only yesterday, you’ll be fine. Welcome to the forum & look forward to seeing your Zed

Hi Jon, definitely try for the 3.0 if you can it's worth the search, I'm on my second.

They really are a bit of a bargain the the world of second hand sports cars and I find them reliable & relatively economical to run given the performance

Welcome to the forum, Jon.

Good luck with your Z4 search, and I hope the transition to civvie street goes well.

Hi Jon, I have recently joined the z4 community, I have a 3.0 e85 which is now my daily - I do around 25 miles round trip each day and love the drive to and from work, I'm very happy with my choice.

Also... Welcome to civvy street - I hope you have a great transition!

Welcome aboard land lubber. A few ex-servicemen frequenting these hollowed pages. Happy hunting. :)
