Hi all. I'm currently not a Z4 owner, but hoping to get that fixed soon. I've spent a lot of time reading the forum and wanted to say hello and thanks! Some really great info on here.

I'm going to view my 2nd Z4 coupe tomorrow and on paper this is the one. Ticks 95% of my boxes.

The last time I bought a car, Parker's had some pretty comprehensive guides on what to ask and look for. They don't seem to any more. What's the best equivalent here on the site?

Thanks all 🙂

Hi and welcome from Blackpool. The best equivalent on this site is the members themselves. You have access to more information than Parkers could even dream of and its all first hand.

Firstly we need to know what Z4 coupe you have in mind, year, model, condition and mileage?
Secondly what is it that tick 95% of your boxes?

Welcome to the madhouse OP!

A Coupe is a great choice - but then I'm probably biased! :)

In the meantime here is a buying guide someone on here put together:-

Good luck with your viewing.

A Zed with a tin top. You will miss the sun shine, but no doubt enjoy the ride. Welcome aboard buku :D

Welcome to the forum too buku!

Good luck with the viewing and post some pictures when you get the car!

Thanks guys, that's perfect!

I'm looking at a 58 plate coupe with 50k on the clock. It will be a little different to driving the T5!

Will be sure to post some photos if I purchase.

Thanks again for the replies!

Well it was a great car. I knew the split rims weren't looking too clever before setting off and plan to replace over the next few months with different alloys. A tiny ding on the bumper and some wear to side of driver seat. Otherwise all in working order, giving it a good inspection thanks to the guide.

So deposit down and the owner is going to deliver next weekend, save another 5 hour round trip. What a nice man!

I'll post some pics once in my possession. Thanks for the support. Nice to post instead of lurking and trawling!

Now come on play fair! What color exterior/interior, model? We can wait for the photos but we are desperate for information..............well i am anyway.

Welcome to the world of Coupe ownership OP.

Now all we need are the photos!

Haha, sorry!

E86 sport in silver. Wasn't anywhere near my top colour choice, but much better in the flesh. And silver isn't such a common colour these days.

Black interior with satnav, cruise and xenons. Seems to have one of the uprated sound systems too... thankfully with input jack so I'm not stuck with FM radio! I need my music!

Sounds good so far - the upgraded stereos are way better than the standard one!

FWIW I think all Coupes came with the input jack, but some times I turn the stereo off to listen to the N52 music.

Hi again. Finally got round to posting a picture of the new machine. Absolutely love it!

The split rims are a bit of a state as seems to be common, but have a nice set of refurbed MV2s to put on as soon as I get the chance.

Your Z4 looks great OP, but then it would do - it's a Coupe!

Hi

Car looks great (aside from the wheels which do need some love), but I see you're replacing them anyway.

Enjoy :driving:
