Hello all, I am very pleased to have aquired a superb 2003 3.0 Z4 about 2 weeks ago :)

I was told this was a good forum to join from some of the guys over at pistonheads and some of the information i've read so far has been very helpful :)

Its a silver 2003 MY 3.0i with 30k miles on the clock and some nice options being a ex BMW demonstrator:

18" composite wheels
Carver audio system with 6cd changer
Prof Sat Nav
Electric heated memory seats
Xenons
Parking sensors

Here are some pictures I saved when I bought it, I've not had much opportunity to take some good pictures myself - too busy enjoying it on the country roads with the roof down :D :driving:

Is anyone else on here from Essex in the UK? I've had a few fellow Z4 drivers flashing and waving at me over the weekend - none of whom I know :D

I've only had one annoyance so far, sometimes the roof seems to not wish to open and only moves back a few inches and seems to struggle. Closing it and opening it again seems to fix it, can anyone advise me if I should be lubricating the mechanism incase its a bit stiff? Hope its not an expensive dealer fix required, it doesnt always do it! The clip it hooks into when the roof is down is also a bit hit and miss and could do with adjusting, sometimes it clicks down, others it fails to :(

Nice to meet you WLH and Ignitor

Just spent an hour giving it a quick wash and a going over with some meguires quick detailling spray - shiney :D I need to do some more work on the wheels to lift some of the black corrosion off where the two halves of the split rim join - wheel cleaner and a toothbrush seems to be working so far but its going to take a few goes to get it all off. 8)

Do you know if there are any UK meets or club events? :)
