Another new Z4 owner here in Fife, I bought a 2.0 56 plate 3 months ago like it so much I had to buy another but older 04 plate 3.0 just for the 6 cyl growl and torque
No rush to sell my 2.0 as it sailed through the MOT but keen to get the 3.0 on the road
Having a Z4 takes me back 40 years when I had my MK1 Mexico , rear wheel drive ,great handling, gearbox and the sound

Welcome..there are quite a few of the Scottish clan in and around Fife..hope you can make one or more of the various runs and meets

Hello and welcome from another Scottish member.

We have a growing community north of the border and a reasonably active forum runs and group meet ups.

Enjoy your Zeds and I feel the 3.0 will be getting driven more than the 2.0 :driving:

Hi and welcome aboard.

Has to be a straight 6 for me in an E85/86 - they remind me of my 2.8i Capris, just a bit quicker!

I've only driven the 3.0 fifty miles so much torque compared to the 4 cyl and the sound is so good although I really like the one I have on the road just now. You have to rev it a wee bit but it zings along good. Just have to get rid of the run flats , I've got a new set of Uniroyal 225/45 r 17 and a good set of rims but at 8" the tyres may not fit
I see very little owners of early 2.0 on here or any posts , do they owners feel slightly inadequate ?

I have a 58 plate 2.0i sport in Monaco blue, I bought the 4 cylinder for economy as I do drive it to work (also have a T-roc) but sometimes wish I bit the bullet and went for a straight 6. I may convince the wife to let me upgrade soon as having 3 cars between us has already caused some “debates”

Good looking car, I also have the MV2 wheels :)

Your new car looks very smart.

225/45 x 17 should be fine on an 8" rim as I'm pretty sure BMW fitted that size on the "square" 17" wheels.

Does anyone have any contacts who can work on an e85 East central Scotland. I've inquired about getting oil changed, check all the suspension and report anything needing attention and the clutch delay valve removed
I went into one indy German specialist asked the receptionist for an estimated cost but no reply even though I called them again
I'm in the building trade and everyone wants a rough idea of cost before starting unless I've worked previously so surely not too much to ask
A semi retired or BMW owner who knows what they are doing with a garage would suit me as I'm not in any desperate rush
Local garage works on anything but prefers to work on old transits doesn't inspire me

I’m sure there are some folks here who may help…if you join the FB Z4 Owners Scotland group there are several folks there who definitely can advise as several live in the Central Belt..

Benderloch in this post recommends an Indy in Perth so possibly not too far from you depending on your location in Fife??
