Hello everyone, I thought I should post a picture of my Z that I have just purchased. Its 3.0si Sport in Silver Grey. It died on me 48 hours after purchase but a change of ignition coils seems to have fixed the problem. Looking forward to waving at other Zs and seeing if I get a response...

Thank you :D Not my first Beemer so I know how reliable they are and problems in the first few weeks are par for the course with any 2nd hand car really. However, I did manage a quick 45 mile commute before the problem...biggest smile Ive had in a car for years :driving:

Welcome to the forum & welcome to my world. The Zed is filthy at the moment after being out in the rain waiting for it's MoT. :o

As you say the odd issue is par for the course when it comes to 10+ year old cars, but in general they seem pretty reliable, I've learned a lot from here regarding the most common issues and how to solve them.
What part of the country are you from? I'll wave if I see you! I'm from the West Herts/ East Bucks/SW Beds border.
 
Thank you for the warm welcome. I live in Portsmouth and will be regularly waving at others when I see them...a habit i developed when I owned a Stag some 25 years ago...
