Hi all. I'm struggling to reset the sidelight/indicator safety thing on my 2006 Z4. It triggered when the sidelight bulb went, since replaced the holder (yeah, I got the wiring right and tested the buld and holder with a 12v source, but it just won't reset. Anyone in the Scottish Borders that can maybe help with a code reset or some advice? Tried disconnecting and shorting the battery out, also tried substituting the light switch/module. Can't get it MOTd or on the road until it's fixed! Thanks. Chris

Hi and welcome to the forum. 
When I've had the bulb out warning light after replacing the offending bulb the warning light went off.
The only exception was in my E90 3 Series when I ignored it for a couple of months because it wasn't a failed bulb, it seems it was a split wire in the bootlid wiring loom. My Indy had to fit a reconditioned FRM as leaving it so long burnt the FRM out, so I'm just wondering how long your warning light had been on?
