Hello all.. New owner..

Hi all
Names Pete, 32Year old Electrical engineer Live down in south coast in kent just outside Dymchurch..

I love my cars.. Have had several big power motors, Supra, mk1 mr2 with turbo lump, mr2 turbos, imprezas, audi s4 etc..

most recently a Focus ST 330HP was my baby and i loved it,

but my love of cars has moved to track
Last year i started a Toyota Sprint series in a late MR2 MK2 rev5, I entered in C-Street,(over 1600cc NA)
and i did very well, won the championship.. :driving:

So next year i want to move to C-Pro (over 1600Na race prep'd)
Which i gonna cost me quite a bit more, full strip out, power mod, track tyres, lightweight windows etc etc etc, which all costs money

So i have let me 20MPG focus go with its driveshafts bills etc just wanted a cheaper runner as my daily (40 mile round trip)

Basically ill shut up now and ended up with a 2.0 2007 56 Plate Zed, and i gotta say i love it. I didn't go for a 6 cyl due to my want for saving but still wanting a fun car etc, and the amount i drive on track shows me how you really don;t need anything big powered on the road cos you just cannot use it and the 2.0 is perfectly quick enough

was nice driving the st getting 20 mpg on way to get the zed the driving back getting 47mpg on the run home.. Huge difference but i don't feel i have lost anythng its cracking car to drvie lower miles and its got 2 year warrantee,, i just really want to change the wheels i hate them!!!

thanks for looking

Welcome Pete

I went from an ST3 (not with 330bhp though  ) to a 3.0 Z - irrespective of engine size, it's totally different and much more rewarding driving experience so I'm not at all surprised you're loving it.

Some cracking roads down your way... That we have been known to frequent quite regularly on forum runs, so make sure you join us in the spring

I think i have run it for 8 years but only run it twice in a mr2
ill be runnign in the zed this year. they never liked it went i run in the S4, ST or my 650hp supra :)

so you guys can come along to that one

Congratulations on the Championship.

I'm a big advocate of the 2.0 litre - surprisingly capable Zed.

Had to experience a 3.0si though but would always be happy to revert to the 2.0 litre if needed.

:driving:
