Hello. Just a note to introduce myself... Over here in New Jersey, USA. I've lurked on the forum for a few weeks and now its time join. You all seem to be a great bunch. My wife just purchased her 1st BMW, a 2003 Z4 2.5 with 125K on it. The price was right but of course it needs some love and attention. I've sorted out a few things already, having the remote unlock issues I've been reading about. managed to takle the stereo turning off after 20 minutes (missing fuse), Foggy headlights cleaned up and looking new. Good news is the new roof and motor installed by dealer :). We recently took the car from New Jersey to Florida and back and she performed flawlessly. The really lousy part is the hood and bumper were repainted (quite poorly) and clear coat is peeling, the bumper very pinged up from road grime. The quick fix is a nose mask, simply can't afford the paint job. We suspect a deer hit, a lot of that by us.
Anyway, it drives like a dream and what a smile on our faces. I'm sure I will have questions and I will try to provide some answers if I can. BTW, I said it's her 1st BMW. We do also have a 2011 535i, early inheritance from Dad, he just can't get down into it anymore.

Whereabouts in Jersey are you? I have family in Nutley and Kearny

We're in Kingwood, Stockton. 10 Minutes from New Hope PA. I worked in Nutley many years ago, taught at a tech school there

Welcome to the forum fellow roadster owner and I see you are also a member of the exclusive wooden dash club too
Looks like the same interior colour combo as my car :)

Hi and welcome - that's a good looking Z4 you've found.

New Jersey to Florida sounds like a great road trip. :driving:

Hello TerriC from Scotland.

Things to do get / fixed....

It's a Zed 4 not a Zee 4!
The hood is the bonnet not to be confused with bunnet which is a hat!
Football is not Soccer :poke:
18" wheels
Spacers front and back
Steering wheel on wrong side.

Tell us how much fuel is per US Gallon!

Funny, I was going to ask if it would be appropriate to this terminology. It is allowed we American's use such terms as Zed, Bonnet, Boot etc. right? :) I can use some more and I'll be sure to use 'em correctly.
My toy is an '87 Vette, a money pit for sure but REALLY fun. Wife's ZED primarily so I have to tread easy on such mods. She's happy, lets keep her that way l . 1st up is making both front doors unlock with the fob (is fob OK?). Already seen many post's on that topic.
Thanks Mate ( ) and yes.... Football is definitely not soccer

Now why did you have to go and spoil my day by telling me that? :headbang:
