Hello all...

Just bought my first E89 3.0SDRIVE.....2010 plate..

Came from my 2.0 mx5 and wanted something that looked sharper, faster and more luxurious.....I'm based in Cheshire and certainly love my convertibles....I had a 635d a while back and have always fancied another BMW. I am a little concerned about all the problems with the folding roof. Are they all bad? or am I just a little worried a little too much...

Welcome to the forum.

Roof problems are, in the main, to do with the E85 roof motor's daft location. I wasn't aware there were any common problems with the roof on your model. :?

One other important thing. The pic police will be around and kidnap your garden gnomes, if you don't post some pictures of your fine new purchase. :wink:

I've had no roof problems with my E89's in 6 years of ownership but most of the ones that seem to go wrong are due to sensor failure rather than anything serious
