Genuine AC Schnitzer pedal sets are not £27. They are roughly 10X that price. Just a heads up...

It seems to hurt my foot as well. Perhaps I'm just uncoordinated!!

Maybe it's the method you're using? Perhaps this will help? http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=40649#p571602
Will persevere. One day I know I'll nail it instinctively.ga41 said:original guvnor, inkey$, mad4slalom, it took me a while to get the hang of it too. About a year into my ownership and i still couldn't nail it down properly, of course it was the first car i ever tried it on though. Don't be dismayed, just keep practising and then you'll find that it becomes instinctive, like your feet working on their own accord.![]()
Although it's called "heel and toe", it can be done with any part of the foot. On many cars, you are really using the left hand side of the foot on the brake pedal and the right hand side of the foot on the accelerator. It really depends on the relative position of the pedals - I can't think of many cars where I've actually used my heel and my toe.original guvnor said:I've never been able to heel and toe.

Absolutly agree, it takes ages to get it right.... I have been heal and toeing ever since my renault 5GT turbo days because it seemed to be largely made of cheese and I didn't want to break it. It seems second nature to me now and end up doing it in every car I drive although it doesn't sound quite as awesome in my 330d...

Instead of blipping the throttle, try to just put enough pressure on the accelerator pedal so that you get rev-matching when you let out the clutch. You don't need much pressure on the accelerator to make this work. If you want to continue downshifting into other gears, you then lift off the accelerator and repeat for each downshift, or if you then want to pull away smartly you roll your foot off the brake whilst flooring the accelerator. I find this works better for me with a drive-by-wire system.inkey$ said:I've tried it a few times. It's the throttle blip part I find tricky. Usually either giving it too many revs or not enough.
I have bought the replica AC ones… some tips on fitting them would be much appreciatedexdos said:They're awkward to fit, so if you get some let me know, and I'll give you a few tips because they come without instructions.I found it so much easier fitting these today than I did the last time.
