I did at the time, but it was a long time ago. The Top Gear feature was very interesting too, even though it was presented by the buffoon. The charity work he did in Brazil was largely unpublicised (at least outside of Brazil) until after his death.

I always heel/toe if I'm really on it! It's something that doing motorcycle track days have conditioned me to do. As there is nothing worse than trying to enter a corner at speed with the back wheel locked up and bouncing all over the place!

The heel toe vid looks like Walter Rohrl. This video is where it was taken from, you have to see this if you haven't already. Now THIS is car control! The left foot braking shouldn't really be done on the roads, he does this to keep the turbo lag to a minimum.

learnt this is a ford orion ghia...must say i find the accelerator pedal in bmws harder to heel and toe with, not sure why. i've read others prefer it.

I have to say that the car control a rally driver shows puts most other racing drivers to shame...
 
Why do i heel-toe? 1) I always read about it and wanted to learn how to do it (my Z4 is the car i learnt it on). 2) it sounds really cool when doing so. 3) it makes me feel so good and also pretty smug when they come and ask me if the car's an auto because it blips on the downshift. 4) some mechanical sympathy reasons etc etc

I've even learnt to do it on the shed i drive to work sometimes.
