Heavy Vibration When Pulling Away in 1st

Hi All - Wonder if anyone has any ideas on what this could be.

On occasions, when pulling away in 1st, there is some quite severe vibration and the car doesnt really want to pull away. I have to dip the clutch again and try again. Im fearing it could driveshaft or something, the vibration seems to be from the middle or back of the car. The car is nearing 100k.

It seems to be within the first 5mins, I have some traffic lights near my house and it happened there this morning - which is a couple of minutes into my morning commute.

It is occasional, its not every time, nor can I replicate it. The clutch seems to be OK at all other times, and no other problems at all with the car.

Any ideas?

The Zed is fitted with a CDV (Cluth Delay Valve) which is a restrictor in the hydraulic system supposedly to improve cluctch engagement. however it can have the opposite effect and create cluctch judder between 1st and 2nd. This can be reduced by removing the CDV and replacing with a clear through version which does not have the restriction which reduces fluid flow through the valve. Quick search on here will show that many people have carried out this mod - search CDV or Cluth Delay valve. An easy mod to do (with assistance).

Now it could be something more ominous in terms of cluctch plate wear but the CDV mode is relatively cheap and perhaps something to ry or consider first before asny more expensive diagnosis/options.

Yup, removing the CDV solved the tendency for my Zed to occasionally leapfrog.

If you're getting it serviced & the Indy has done it before, should really cost you no more than £30.
