Heavy Clutch?

Hi All,

Been driving my Z4 for a couple days now. Decided to get the manual gearbox and absolutely love it.

However my commute to work can take over an hour with a lot being stuck in deadlock traffic. Compared to other manuals I’ve driven the clutch seems to be quite heavy with a lot of travel distance to go fully down.

Is this normal? I’m guessing I’ll just get used to it.

Cheers

Probably subjective. I don’t feel my clutch is overly heavy but that said it’s not my daily so rarely end up stuck in slow moving traffic.

Should have got the auto..so much better!  :driving:

Does removing the CFV alter matters?

Could go to my local go kart track for an open top sports car :D.
I have looked at removing the CFV, however I don't wanna to risk damaging the clutch or providing additional wear. I think it'll just take some time to get used to it tbh.

My 20i clutch was noticeably lighter than the one on my 3.0si, lighter than most cars I’d say.
