Heater problems

Hi All,

New to this, have recently bought myself a Z4 2.5, 2004, having problems with the heating system inside the cabin, the problem is the heater works for the drivers side, but just blows cold air to to the passenger side vents, (I guess ok for me driving, but with all the hot chicks I will be picking up soon, I think I need to keep them happy as well)lol, can anybody help me on this, thanks in advance

maybe you have the only z4 with dual zone climate control :?

seems a strange problem though :o

thanks for the comics on the dual zone climate control lol, yeah your correct a really strang problem, i checked the pipe work for the heating system and it seems to be ok, ie circulating, the only thing I can think of is a bypass or something, again would be most gratefully for anybodies help, all the hot chicks (or cold) are awaiting !!!

Yeah could try that approach, however have spent my cash on the car so cant afford the luxury of them mink, maybe M&S at best winter coat but not much more, really cheesed off that spending alot of cash on a so called top car that small things like this seem to plague it

Hi Guys
I have now got same problem heater blows cold air on passenger side and warm on drivers doesnt mater where air directed floor , screen or anywhere inbetween its the same very strange but help would be appreciated
 
two questions

1. What comes out of the centre air vent hot or cold.

2. Does the fan effect the flow of air on the passenger side.
 
The center vents blow the same hotdrivers cold passenger fan blows tthe same amount of air through all vents.Every thing apears normal other than to diferent temps to either side maybe isnt as warm as it should be on drivers side if anything but iv checked flow to heater matrix and that seems ok will have a look at this heater valve didnt think z had one only found referance to them on 3 series cars
 
Right guys temp gauge went daft this morning going from top to bottom a few bangs later and back to cold rad warning light came on checked water levels and were low red float stick was stuck at top so never noticed lack of water on filling rad a few bangs and hisses later and mor filling all working as it should hope this helps anyone else with this unusual prob
