Heated wing mirrors

A mirror fell off so replaced them with some eBay specials which do the job very well for the price.

I've noticed though that the mirrors are permanently heated - have I put the wires on back to front or is this normal?
 
They are on all the time, standard functionality unlike newer BM's where you have to have yor wipers on unless the temperature falls below a certain point. :headbang:

Luckily not to much of an issue if you have auto wipers as by turning them on it will activate the mirrors although they vary the heat depending on temperature again.
