Heated wing mirror glass

Wing mirror glass has come loose. I managed to catch it but I have stuck it on with sticky pads. The VIN number doesn't say anything about heated mirrors but I have found out that they are heated and now one of them has an air gap that prevents it working efficiently. If I can get It back off without smashing it, any idea what to use to stick it back on with. I assume it has to be a thin film glue that doesn't creep when it gets warm. At the mirrors heated when the ignition is on cos I can't see how to turn them off. Or do they "time out"?

Does anyone know where I can get a glass and pad for the passenger side. I bought a cheap stick on from amazon but it does not fit 100% . Think if be better replacing the whole thing?

BMW do the complete inner workings for around £120.

I used Trans7 Clear on mine about 18months ago & it's still there.
