Heated Seats - How warm do they get?

Have to agree with the others - there's something strange about the OPs seats. Setting 1 is plenty hot enough for me after a few minutes; I can't remember the last time I used 2 or 3. I think their descriptions are: 2 - Freddy Krueger's furnace, 3 - Violation of the Nuclear Proliferation Treaty.

Just as a slight aside, you don't need to have it on 3 initially as all settings give maximum power for 3 minutes from cold then it reverts to whatever setting you have chosen.

Well I never knew that

Really - never knew that, live and learn

I've repaired quite a few over the years...people kneeling on them whilst hoovering or other stuff normally breaks them and only part sections get warm them.
Mine are super toasty after a couple of minutes..

I remember seeing somewhere that pre and post face lift heated seats are quite different animals? Mine is pre face lift and they dont get hot, hot, hot more kinda warm no matter how long I have them on for.

sounds similar to me! although a few of the respondents have pre facelift and said they get hot hot!

maybe I just have a high threshold for heat! be good to compare to another member's car

I can leave mine on setting three constantly. But I am running M3 seats so maybe they are different.

Is there any difference between coupes and roadsters ? I could believe roadsters got hotter seats for roof down driving....

I've had pre face lift SE seats in mine and now have post facelift M Sport ones. I don't recall any major difference in temps between the two, although I did only have the SE in for a week before changing so didn't get to use them too many times and it was a few years back now.
