Heated Seat switch hard to press

Has anyone had any trouble with the heated seat switch. I am having to press it quite hard on drivers side .
Anyone taken it apart in the E89 and fixed a similar issue ?

Maybe there is some crumb or dirt below the cap.
 
Does anyone know how to remove the switch bank. Think something has come in plugged. I've been poking around under the ashtry now more switches have stopped

The entire center console cover must be removed (starting at the seats) to unclip the switch unit.

Be careful, this is a bit tricky and requires a small screwdriver.
 
Pull the gaiter around gear lever up (manual car) , lift the rubber trim, then you can get a good grip to pull up the main trim being gentle.
The switch unit has a socket on the end.
 
Correct.
But I always start at the rear end of this cover, as it's pushed below the dash and can"t be lifted at it's front.
