Heat shield removal

Trying to remove the heat shield just below the drive shaft. This mounting plate is just below this shield, is it OK to move? It looks like it should be holding something heavy.

It is connected to your exhaust with rubber fixings which you can undo

It's the bolts that hold to the exhaust mount rubbers that you'll likely struggle with.
The rubber mounts will twist before the corrosion let's go.

The rubber mounted nuts are much, much easier to undo with an impact driver. Doing it by hand is usually very frustrating - as you're just fighting the rubber's desire to twist
