Heart stopping phone call. No wonder I'm grey!

My 12 year old son Joe rang to say that he had finished Christmas shopping and was waiting at the town centre for his lift home with his mates mum. 5 minutes later whilst We're driving my missus gets a phone call from another worried parent to say that, although she doesn't have any details, there had been an accident at the centre and an ambulance had been called for Joe. Not knowing any details was a nightmare. Was it bad? Had he been in a fight? Run over in the car park? or even choked on a sweet? We just didn't know. The poor Galaxy has never driven so fast. Fortunately his only injury was a split open head where he had fallen off the handrail he was sitting on whilst waiting for his lift. A&E stitches a couple of hours later and he's ok. Kids...no wonder I'm grey!

Holy Crap! You don't need that at any time, let alone xmas. Did you see Hunter's post earlier this year? Truly awful when your child is hurt.

Yes I did. That was in a different league! It's just not knowing. You assume the worse when the word ambulance is used
