Hey guys,
The ablation itself went well, only problem was a lot of chest pain afterwards which I wasn't expecting but an IV line painkiller dealt with it. Over the night though my right lung filled with fluid which sometimes can happen with an ablation but unfortunately it's become infected, so I feel horrendous TBH, getting upstairs is a real problem, I can't get enough air in, makes me gasp like an old guy with chronic emphysema, it's pretty scary actually, yawning is horrible, you can't stop the reflex but not enough air gets in to carry the yawn out, the chest feels like it's being crushed. Sleep is in short supply as I can't lay down and have to spend all night sitting upright as the fluid gets worse if I lie down. The docs given me some strong anti-bi's which will hopefully kick in over the weekend. Couple that with I've got a nasty cold as well with inflamed throat and headache to chuck in the mix, I feel like death....
I know I sound like a hypochondriac, but once the anti-bi's kick in it'll get better, this is short term thank goodness..
On a positive and the important note the surgeon has reported a successful ablation, so in 2 months once the scar tissue is forming properly in the heart i'll wear a monitor for 7 days which will hopefully determine if I need another op, quite likely as I knew but after that one we might well be finally cured...happy happy days..
So for now it's uuurrgghhhh...but it'll be reet..!!
Thank you all for the well wishes again.
