Nothing to do with me,this is the full kit, rails, hoop inserts and mesh deflector with damage.

You can refit and modify the existing ones if your dead careful and a bit lucky
leather clad ones are a diffrent ballgame though... I managed it, just, but would nt do it again and the cost of each half is well over £ 100 a piece,
Plus you would need the skill of a particularly skilful spider to make an invisible repair to that mesh !

I was thinking that....but if it puts buyers off and you got the kit for peanuts, then found a mesh on ebay, could be a nice little deal.

Thats the split down diagram. The item in the auction is the number 1, you would still need 2, 3 and 4 although as you can see from realoem.com these are easily the cheapest part of a wind deflector kit.

There's two wasy you could fix the deflector, one is to sew the holes carefully, the alternative is to pull out the securing rubber and fit whatever mesh you wish in the frame. The latter looks possible although I haven't personally tried it.

How do I know all of the above? It's my auction ;)

Does the part the mesh is attached to come away from the main frame?? (too cold to go and have a look at mine).

If so there's a possibility the mesh part could be taken out and a piece of clear perspex put in then that put back in the main framework. mmmmm

I beleive so, although I am not specifically saying that in the auction as I don't want the damn thing back again :P

Looking at it clsoely, there is a rubber seal on the frame which has a split at the bottom, I beleive if this does pull out you could easily replace the mesh.

Either way, this part bloomin expensive to buy on its own, so hopefully it goes for a bit - i used it as a bartering for the sale when I bought the car from a $tealer - found it in the loft the other day lol

speedski - c'mon sewing that is about as practical as fixing a snag in a pair of tights (and I've not tried that either) but it will never work to the level we expect on our cars.

Ripping out the mesh and fitting an inner clear perspect looks a perfectly practical proposition as is of course using all the kit anfd just finding a new mesh piece.

Good luck selling as it's useful to someone who needs all the fixings.

yeah I looked at sewing, but to be fair you're right - its why I have been totally up front with the damage on it (some would have not done close ups and winged it) - we have to remember some aren't as fussed as us her about the quality of our cars :)

its a project for someone really - chance to try something different at a reasonable price :)

I'm keeping my eye on it but dont want the small pieces cause I already have them.
