Heads up - half price snow socks

Half price snow socks currently on offer on Groupon, the deal is available until midnight today Fri 16th Dec 2011. Works out at £40 inc delivery for a pair of 'Rocksalt Mine' tyre socks in various sizes.

I've no idea if they, or the price is any good but it's worth a look if you are in the market.
 
By the time mine arrived last year the snow was gone :headbang:
Could've waited a year and bought some cheaper :)

I'm still eager to give them a test drive!
 
i think ill get myself some of these snow socks from asda as in only do 2 miles to work and no steep inclines so these should do the trick! cheers!
 
Groupon charge the company selling the items around 50%, so if it looks like a good deal, the question has to be asked how are they selling them for around half the price?

I have a friend that uses Groupon to advertise, buy some cheap s**t, £2 per item, set up a website selling the 'luxury' item at £25 with a brand name, sell the same brand named luxury s**t on Groupon at £12 and people think they are getting a bargain!

That said, service items on there can sometimes look attractive, I have had friends book a weekend break then ring the hotel to select a date and availability is VERY limited!

Not for me but each to their own!
 
From what I've seen they also sell lots of things that have no value. Photo shoot discounted from £150 to £15.
Nobody ever pays £150 and it's just a loss leader to get you in for a photoshoot to sell expensive prints under pressure.

In the case of winter socks they may have thousands of items in stock and just need to get them moved for cash flow so this works well.
 
Four alloys refurbed was a recent local deal for £80 reduced from £350 ish. Bagged one for my oem wheels, even a half decent job for the spare set is a bargain at that price.
