You sign up to Groupon and 'buy' the deal on offer (they have loads of stuff ranging from holidays to goods and services). You pay the cost of the deal and then they will send you the groupon code and a link to the web site of the company that's selling the deal. You go and purchase it as normal then add the voucher code at point of paying for it. They will then deduct it and you then usually just have to pay for postage.
I've had a few things off them. I've just bought the electric blanket that's on offer for my cold tootsies!

Lol ok fantastic.

There are some good offers for staying at an INN etc....

When coming up might consider an offer for 1-2 days as a break.
 
I bought a weekend break from them for Wales a couple of months ago and it all went smoothly. I also got Mr M a flight simulator experience. We were supposed to go the other weekend but my Mom got taken into hospital and was very ill so we couldn't go (but they said we can re-book).
