Heads up - car for sale - only 576,000 on the clock

Wow that is some mileage

The longest I have had a car is 3 years, my highest milage was 76,000 on a 2002 Passat V5

Current 2003 Honda Accord has 106k on it, still going strong

68k on the Z right now...

120k on my Passat Tdi AJ54***. Just had to spend £1500 on it but in 7 years of ownership and 106K miles (it had 14k on when I bought it) that's pretty much all it's ever had apart from consumables...and to be fair that £1500 included new rear brakes and pads and a timing belt change. Reckon I'll keep it for another 3 or 4 years at least so I see no reason why it won't make it to beyond 150k and still be useable.

My other car - 2.5 e46 touring has 160 something and still feels great, its predecessor, another e46 touring had 200k on it when i p/exed it for the zed, that was also still a great car!

195k on my mkII golf. heating didn't work and it used to cut out on heavy breaking. was still doing 150 mile daily commute in the old girl till i moved closer to work binned it and got the Z

About 120k on an old style Astra 1.3 which was still going strong enough to to lose the Old Bill when it was nicked but was unfortunately written off by the *astards later! and err... at other end of the scale, two engines in a Golf TDi in under 70k miles

Fiat UNO turbo, 144k!

I could hardly believe it, great little car.
Sold it for £450 then a week later it sold for £2000 by a trader claiming it had all sorts of mods, which it hadn't.

My last car Saab 9-3 Aero 106k, only let me down once. Nice cars if you get a good one!

I remember the Fiat Uno Turbos, great cars if you could find out without terminal rust

Went like stink, and were rather rare too IIRC

+1 on the Saab - have a 9-5 diesel as the dogsbody car - ferrying dogs, kids, dump runs etc etc. currently on 112k and still going strong.
