Headlights

When the headlights are on should there be the normal green light showing on my dashboard display as I dont have one and sometimes unsure if my lights are on or not. If there shpuld be a light display on my dash, how can I reinstate it and would it be an MOT fail?

There' s no "Lights On" display on my late 2016 car either so don't worry!

From memory here, I seem to remember my E85 had a waterfall light from the interior light asssembly. I think it was that car that I used to put my hand up to it to check if the lights were on?

My current car while it has no lights on indication, does have bright day running lights.
