Headlights..

Due to the dark nights, I have had the lights on a bit more frequently and have noticed that even when on dip, I am getting flashd by oncoming traffic as they are obviously assuming I am on high beam, and also a while back I posted on here that I thought the dipped beam were a bit lacking, so last night I went out armed with a large flat bladed screwdriver and adjusted them down, quite a bit in fact, after many turns and a quck test run I now seem to have a puddle of light directly in front of the car, and the high beam seems no worse, in fact when I was playing with the lights prior to adjusting the only difference between low/high beam seemed to be how much tree folliage I lit up, so in essence I`m a bit happier I will now be able to avoid the typical Peak District pot hole in time :)

Takes 2 minutes to get it set up properly at a garage - worth doing.

As soon as you MOT next, the alignment will be checked & your changes probably equal a fail.

I think it's a case of "Why are other peoples headlights brighter than mine" when you get flashed at.

Wouldn't worry, two of us I know get flashed at, it's the nature of the design of the lamps.
Ain't a lot you can do about it if you want to see a reasonable safe distance ahead.
My lamps pass mot.
Just annoys me those drivers who go full beam just before they pass you to make a statement.
Anyone flashes me for more than a second I give em full beam!
Just to show I was dipped.
